Sequential Solar Traffic Lamp

An exciting development has been a new design of a yellow Sequential Solar Traffic Lamp with IR taper function with a large solar 800mAmp panel.

It has meant a redesign of our standard sequential cone lamp so that it could accommodate a large, next generation solar panel that can produce an impressive 800mAmp of power in favourable weather conditions and supplement the power requirements of the new rechargeable type 4R25 6V battery.

The UK is not renowned for its solar power generating abilities but with the latest solar panel technology and a design incorporating a large solar panel to make power input more than just a statement of green intent, enough power can be generated to make the application practical whilst contributing significantly to waste reduction.

It does not stop with just the cone lamp and what compliments the power generating capabilities of the solar sync lamp is the rechargeable properties of a new class of 996 type 4R25 lamp lithium battery.  The ecobattery available in a LiFe PO4 6V8000mAh form is a new generation of rechargeable battery designed primarily for the road lamp market.

Any power generated by the solar panel is directed into the battery. Intelligent charging determines the orientation of the battery so that operator handling and battery placement is not an issue, just put the battery in springs first and you are good to go.

The lamps draw power from the battery, in field tests during the first week of November in poor weather conditions this resulted in an impressive 42% extended operational service when compared to a lamp without the solar panel. Tests were based on our 24/7 sync lamps comparing our standard sync traffic cone lamp with our solar traffic cone lamp..

The rechargeable cone lamp batteries can be supplied with its 8 unit charging box. 8 batteries can be recharged in unison using a single source of mains power with a recharge cycle time of between 2-3 hours.

Each battery has a dedicated charging cable with C type charging point and a push button status indictor with 4 bar LED power indicator so the status of a battery can always be checked.  With a specification to produce a battery with a life of 500 recharge cycles you have a product that will have paid for itself in literally weeks when compared to the costs of regular disposable battery types.

The type C charging adapter is unique to the battery design, no other adapters should be used otherwise damage will be sustained to the battery, why? Well we think this will help deter theft, we will not supply operators with replacement cables unless they are a customer of the ecobattery so the batteries once discharged will offer limited benefit to unauthorised acquirers.
