Set of 6 rechargeable LED road hazard where users can select the colour and lighting effect required on one light which automatically synchronises to the rest.
Supplied in a carry case with chargers, these lights can be deployed in seconds, they activate as soon as taken from their case are robust rechargeable and extremely effective been very bright with 360 degree light output.
With no master or servant light means lights do not have to be deployed in a number sequence, any one of them can be used to change the function of the rest.
Latest Evolution of Knight Pods
This is the latest evolution of the popular Knight Pod series of hazard light with many significant improvements and innovations and even greater flexibility with the addition of 3 LED colours in one unit and introducing sequential flashing patterns without needing to deploy in number sequence.
A magnifying lens has been incorporated over the LED’s dramatically enhancing their visibility, with top mounted LED’s increasing visibility from the air which is ever more important as for police drone supported operations.
The enhanced lens on the Knight Pod means that they can be seen clearly at distances in excess of 3000 feet during the hours of darkness (subject to ambient lighting conditions).
Knight Pod Design Features
A low profile, lightweight and cushioned leading edges reduces the risk of damage both to the light and vehicles and equipment especially if hit by fast moving traffic.
They can’t be blown over by fast moving traffic and will always display light because of their 360 degree light output and ‘self righting’ properties (upright or upside down you still see light).
Supporting accessories are not required, although if used on the highways they need to be mounted off of the road surface in accordance with DoT guidance. The Knightkit traffic cone adapter drops over any size of traffic cone which allows them to be traffic cone mounted, the strong magnet on the base of the Pod provides a secure anchoring point on top of traffic cone adapter.
Knight Pods can be deployed in series, directing traffic around obstacles, bends and corners where the sequential flash patterns can be used to great effect directing traffic into lanes, creating road tapers and around obstacles, spills etc.
The magnetic base also allows them to be attached metallic signs, vehicles or street furniture horizontally or vertically, the magnet been strong enough to support the lightweight Pod upside down if required.
Robust – these units will withstand operational deployment more readily than traditional beacons, a typical family car will not crush a Pod if driven over and being LED’s have a long life expectancy.
Rapid Deployment
The rapid deployment case design, with intelligent Pod activation instantly turns on each Knight Pod as it is removed from its docking port, defaulting to its preferred flash and colour pattern when last deployed.
So if you are an emergency services responder who uses the Blue setting in a synchronised blue light chase pattern, that will be the colour and flash pattern the Pods will start on when taken out of their docking station.
Operators can deploy the lamps instantly, no fiddling with case lids or light settings as soon as they are pulled out of their docking station they come on, similarly as soon as placed back in the case they shut off.
Once deployed a press and hold for 5 seconds on any light will power down all units in one go, you can keep them ready in position and collect as required or power them on individually with different setting if required.
Greater Flexibility
With blue, amber and red LED’s available in each unit you can switch between colours and flash patterns just by pressing either of the function buttons on top of the Pod on any of the units.
Built in intelligence will signal all the other units to change automatically to the same setting, there is no master or servant so changes can be made rapidly without going to each light.
Although you might not need the other LED light colour functions the memory feature activates the last functions selected so those other functions need never be used if not required.
It basically gives you additional flexibility when you may need to identify different zones, cordons, access/exit points or lanes with different colours
Charging Knight Pods
The case acts as the charging point for all 6 rechargeable lights and is supplied with an in vehicle style charger, UK mains adapter and USB cable.
The lights utilise the magnet on their bases to secure the light in their docking position, there are no wires needed as the lights automatically align to their charging points, just plug the case in to commence charging.
A Knight Pod has a recharge time of 2-3 hours, a light on the case provides the recharge status of each Pod – amber for charging and green for fully charged.
