Description
Set of 6 rechargeable LED road hazard lights with Blue Red and Yellow LED’s that allow the user to select the colour option and pattern which automatically synchronise the set of 6 units.
Supplied in a carry case with chargers, these lights can be deployed in seconds by simply being dropped onto a road surface or attached to a metallic surface via its internal strong magnet.
This is the latest evolution of the popular Knight Pod series of hazard light with many significant improvements and innovations and even greater flexibility with the addition of 3 LED colours in one unit and sequential light flash patterns.
A new rapid deployment case design with no lid to open and intelligent activation instantly turn each Pod on as it is removed from the case, defaulting to the setting of last flash pattern and colour previously used. So if you are an emergency services responder who uses the Blue setting in a synchronised chase pattern all the time that will be the colour and flash pattern the Pods will revert to when deployed or until manually changed.
With blue, amber and red LED’s in each unit you can switch between colours and flash patterns just by pressing the either of the function buttons on top of the Pod on any of the units – built in intelligence will signal all the other units to change automatically to the same setting.
Similarly press and hold down a button for 5 seconds and power down all units in one go, or simply re-insert into the case and that too will shut down each of the Pods.
A magnifying lens has been incorporated over the LED’s dramatically enhancing their visibility, and 4 upwards facing LED’s on the top of the unit improve operational effectiveness for air operations.
The case acts as the charging point for all 6 rechargeable lights and is supplied with an in car charger, mains adapter and USB cable.
A Knight Pod has a recharge time of 2-3 hours, a light on the case provides the recharge status of each Pod – amber for charging and green for fully charged.
With a low profile which reduces risk of damage to vehicles, they can’t be blown over by fast moving traffic and do not need any form of support or mounting which can take up precious vehicle space (although for air operations the loop fixing points should be used for added security)
Knight Pods can be placed on top of traffic cones using our cone adapter, this provides a simple, fast and effective way of raising the Knight Pod above ground level making them more apparent to traffic. The adapter drops over any size of traffic cone and utilises the magnet on the base of the Knight Pod to securely position the pod on top of a traffic cone.
Knight Pods can be deployed in series, directing traffic around obstacles, bends and corners. The new sequential flash patterns can be used to great effect and with intelligent mastering the order in which you deploy them from the case sets the sequential pattern i.e. you do not have to deploy these in a number sequence which improves deployment efficiency.
A magnetic base also allows them to be attached to signs, vehicles or any metallic surface.
Robust – these units will withstand operational deployment more readily than traditional beacons and being powered by LED’s they have a considerably longer life expectancy than strobe or incandescent light sources.
The enhanced lens on this model of Knight Pod means that they can be seen clearly at distances in excess of 3000 feet during the hours of darkness (subject to ambient lighting conditions).
Knight Pod’s have many uses – emergency services, air landing operations, vehicle recovery and breakdown assistance companies, marine safety crews, highways agency and road crews, local councils, utility and construction companies.
They can be used as a demarcation marker and several cases can be ‘daisy chained’ using different colour settings and their synchronisation feature to provide highly effective colour combinations.
