Red and Green Traffic Wand Long 37cm

Description

This traffic wand has both red and green colour options with  a red flash, red solid and green solid light output as well as a white LED in the nose cone that provides a useful torch feature.

Operated by a single button the wand is easy to operate and will progress through its functions each time the button is pressed – red flash, red constant, green constant, white nose cone torch, off.

With a magnetic base it can be mounted to stationary metallic objects/vehicles whilst an optional tripod allows it to be deployed on ground surfaces at an elevated level and used similarly to a traffic cones but without the bulk and weight.

With a length of 37 cm’s, belt clip and wrist lanyard it weighs in at just 250grams with batteries installed (batteries not incl.)

Longer marshalling wands are preferred by operators signalling over greater distances, there are he same number of LED’s in both the short and long version of this design but with this version the LED’s are spaced out more. The basic principle is that with a longer wand length directional signals are easier to determine at a greater distance.

A shorter 27cm version of this wand is available the KB27RG, exactly the same light output and features but a little easier to store and handle and a bit less prone to operator damage (they don’t get sat on as often we find),

The optional tripod mounting allows the traffic wand to be deployed as an emergency traffic beacon on any surface and so has uses for emergency road demarcation lines, helicopter landing zones and road traffic incidents to name but a few possible applications. Note – remove the uniform clip before trying to mount in tripod.

Wands can also be traffic cone mounted in a standalone capacity. Ideal for marking entry and exit points with their red and green capabilities, usinig traffic cone adapters which drop over any standard conical traffic cone, their steel magnetic tops provide a fixing point for the magnet in the base of a traffic wand.

The wand is sealed offering superior performance in adverse weather conditions and is made of a resilient polycarbonate light sleeve and tough ABS handle which makes it resistant to shock and damage.

Ideal for traffic management at large events, construction sites, car parks and traffic diversions the wand is visible at over 300 meters in the hours of darkness – a truly valuable piece of equipment.

Shorter Option Wand

The KB20RG is a shorter version of the red and green traffic wand, it still has the same number of high spec LED’s in the light tube with 18 rather than many inferior traffic wands that only have 9 of each colour, so in terms of visibility it produces the same output.  However we have found smaller wands suffer less operator induced damage, they simply don’t get get ‘banged about’ as much is our observation and so you may  want to consider the shorter model – click here to read more
