Extraordinary performance from the ‘Microlight’ a rechargeable, lightweight safety light that can be positioned almost anywhere.
The Microlight is designed for operatives working in low light conditions, enhancing the safety and visible presence of them particularly where plant or heavy equipment is in use.
It’s amazingly compact and weighs less than 7 grams, making it an ideal light for hard hats and safety helmets. Its Velcro style fixings means its easy to deploy without damaging the integrity of equipment, its low profile and lightweight means it does not impact the wearer and is less likely to to be knocked, snag or become detached unlike larger harness style PPE lighting solutions.
It can operate for up to 6 hours on its most efficient slow blink setting, with an exceptionally bright light output that has to be seen to be fully appreciated, its effectiveness in low light working conditions is extremely impressive.
The light is rechargeable removing the need for replacement batteries and it has a quick charge capability that can restore it to full charge in less than 20 minutes if using a mains power source.
A USB charging cable is supplied with a red indictor light showing charging that goes off when the light is fully charged.
With multiple modes the Microlight can be used in pairs, for example a white flashing light to the front with a red flashing light to the rear. Vehicle and plant operators can therefore determine if a user is facing them front or back which is an important safety consideration in the construction sector.
There are two LED’s which provide an element of redundancy and side ports which allow light to escape either side providing 180d coverage.
3 pairs of self-adhesive Velcro style pads are provided so Microlites can be positioned where required, two fixing points allow the Microlite to be fixed using elasticated bands, we supply 2 pairs of small elasticated band that stretch to about 4cms.
Operators can obviously use their own fixing bands where appropriate and we know users who utilise zip ties that can be released to attach to large pieces of kit where necessary.

OTHER LIGHTED PPE
As this light is so small there’s a limit to the endurance of the rechargeable battery and where there is a need to have a LED PPE Light that completes a full working period of 8 hours or more then other products may be more suitable.
