The KB05 is a rechargeable, multipurpose, multi-functional police safety light which is remarkably bright and versatile for such a small item that attaches to police kit, beak of a bump cap or baseball style cap, can be stowed in a pocket or hung from a carabiner.
Very compact with similar dimensions to our Police KB03 Safety LED it has a sturdy metal clip and keyring loop fixing and is supplied with a type C USB charger.
It has a magnetic base so can be positioned securely hands free as an inspection light on metallic objects and with its flat edges it can be positioned without rolling off a surface unlike traditional cylindrical torches.
A very robust construction makes it fit for use for the emergency services and having both the torch as well as the police flashing blue/red function it is designed to enhance the visible presence of police officers in low light conditions.
Attached to a bump cap or baseball hat it has a hands free area search capability that will light up the immediate search area with specialised frog eye magnifying lenses operating as well as many much larger torch devices.
For such a small device it throws out a remarkable amount of light (see video) which easily lights up a typical garden area (use one lens to extend battery life, use two for maximum lighting effect). More than 10 hours continuous usage (subject to setting) can be achieved between charges.
The front panel of the police light has white, red and blue LED’s with selectable modes of operation. The white LEDs on the front panel have a low and high setting and can be used to illuminate areas in front of police officers acting like a hands free torch if hung from a uniform.
Change modes and the red and blue LED’s are activated in a revolving flash pattern designed to catch the observers eye and operate as a police PPE warning light, during night time operations this function helps identify police officers and provides PPE lighting for road policing. identification etc.
